History Center Offers Historic Automobile Row Walking Tour of Cedar Rapids

The Carl & Mary Koehler History Center is sponsoring a historic walking tour of Automobile Row in Cedar Rapids by historian Mark Stoffer Hunter on Thursday, June 7 at 6:00pm. The tour leaves from the History Center and lasts 75 minutes. The cost will be $5 for children 8 and up, $6 for adult History Center members and $7 for adult non-members. For reservations, contact Lisa at the History Center – (319) 362-1501 ext. 11 or office@historycenter.org.

The walking tour features fascinating stories of the cutthroat automotive businesses that thrived in early Cedar Rapids. The History Center itself stands at the site of one of those businesses! Stoffer Hunter’s tours are very popular with people of all ages. Bring comfortable walking shoes and enjoy the rich history of our town!
