DES MOINES — Tickets for the 2011 Iowa State Fair Grandstand shows go on sale at 10 a.m. April 30 through all Ticketmaster outlets. The 2011 line-up is presented by U.S. Cellular.
Grammy Award winners from many genres lead the star-studded line-up. Country music legend Reba McEntire has garnered two Grammy’s in her long career. She takes the stage with special guest Jerrod Niemann on Aug. 20.
Rock groups Train and Maroon 5 have each collected a Grammy and will team up for a Grandstand show on Aug. 19.
Sugarland, a first-time winner in 2008 for their smash-hit “Stay,” brings their Incredible Machine Tour back to the Grandstand with Sara Bareilles Aug. 14. Grammy Award-winning contemporary Christian artists Casting Crowns take the stage with Sanctus Real Aug. 11.
Country veteran Ronnie Dunn earned his share of the Grammy’s as half of the Brooks and Dunn duo. He brings his now solo show to the fair Aug. 18.
Jason Aldean will heat up the Grandstand stage Aug. 12 with special guests Chris Young and Thompson Square.
Lynyrd Skynyrd and Doobie Brothers bring their legendary rock and blues to the Grandstand on Aug. 16 while Def Leppard with very special guest Heart are scheduled for Aug. 13.

Motor sports action kicks into high gear Monday, Aug. 15, with the Deery Brothers Summer Series for Late Models. Tumultuous Grand Outlaw National Tractor and Truck Pulling roars into the Grandstand on Wednesday, Aug. 17. A demolition derby tears up the track for a morning session Saturday, Aug. 20.
Tickets for all concert and track events will go on sale Saturday, April 30, at 10 a.m. through all Ticketmaster outlets, online at ticketmaster.com or by phone at 1-(800) 745-3000. All concert events are reserved seating; track events are general admission.
Beginning July 11, the Fair’s Ticket Office will be open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Mondays – Fridays and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays for walk-up orders only (no mail, phone or fax orders). Convenience charges will apply to all tickets. Grandstand tickets do not include fair admission.
