REVIEW: Flock of Funk rocked last night at Chrome Horse Saloon

Flock of Funk performed before a packed house last night outside at the Chrome Horse Saloon.  The weather cooperated for a pleasant evening and as the sun went down, the dancing picked up.  People were moving and grooving as Billy Davis worked the crowd and had everyone on their feet.  It was hard to tell who was having more fun…. the crowd, or Billy.

The band members have years of performance to draw from and it shows.  They are professionals who feel at ease on stage with their instruments, and are in sync with each other and the audience.  Members of the band are:
Billy Davis (the front man) – sax and vocals
Dennis McMurrin – guitar and vocals
Bruce Chadima (The Governor of Funk) – drums and vocals
Denny Ketelson on Hammond B3, synthesizer, and vocals
Tim Razor – bass and vocals

Flock of Funk plays all types of music, with Motown and Rhythm & Blues being its forte. Although they primarily play for private parties and corporate events, they sometimes perform for the public.

You can find them on Facebook: Flock of Funk – The Ultimate Party Band. For bookings, contact Bruce (Gov) at 319-360-6449, or Billy at 319-364-4066.

Flock of Funk will be back at the Chrome Horse Saloon, 1202 3rd St. SE, on July 31.
